The city of Krusevac is one of the oldest Serbian cities, it was
founded by prince Lazar (who is often called Empereor, or Tsar) in
1371. Since then, it was the capital city of Serbia. After the great
battle against Turks, when Otoman empire began it's campaign against
Europe, Serbia was first serious opponent to the mighty Turks. Almost
entire Serbian army was lost in a single day, 28. 06. 1389. but the
Turks could not continue. In the period after the Battle, Belgrade
became the capitol and is since.
